In 1990, the second wave of women making their way to the top was observed. This occurred not by adoption of a traditional, command-and-control style of leadership, but by using a transformational, interactive style. This new style would emerge as a useful and valuable mode in the turbulent economic times ahead, with an advantage over the neo-Darwinian, dog-eat-dog mode forged during industrial capitalism.
