What WPP’s latest gender numbers reveal about women in leadership

WPP said women accounted for 42% of its executive leaders and 55% of its senior managers in 2025.

The company also made around 6,500 redundancies during the year as it merged and restructured some agencies.

Women’s share in executive leadership was unchanged from 2024 at 42%, while their share in senior management rose from 54% to 55%.

Across the wider workforce, women made up 57% of “all other employees” in 2025, down from 58% a year earlier, while their share of total employees remained unchanged at 56%.

“All other employees” refers to the part of WPP’s workforce outside executive leadership and senior management, while “total employees” combines all three groups.
