The TechWomen Global Alumnae Summit launched on Wednesday in Casablanca, marking a historic moment for women’s leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Running from December 4 to 6, this first-of-its-kind summit convenes 154 alumni from 21 countries alongside 45 U.S. mentors in a shared mission to drive innovation and foster gender equality.
Organized by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by the Institute of International Education (IIE), the summit showcases how mentorship and cross-cultural collaboration are shaping a new generation of changemakers.
In an interview with Morocco World News, U.S. Ambassador Puneet Talwar highlighted the significance of the summit.
“This is an incredible program that was launched 14 years ago, where women from all ages, both young and experienced, who are active in the technology field, get to meet one another and share their experiences,” he stated.
