The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur hosted its annual business conclave, Marmagya 9.0 with the theme “Women Leadership for Business Excellence.” The conclave included a roundtable discussion focused on promoting gender equality in corporate leadership as a means of driving long-term economic growth.

A Platform to Address Gender Gaps

Marmagya 9.0 gathered over 20 influential women leaders from various sectors, including corporate, government, NGOs, and academia. The event drew more than 100 delegates who engaged in discussions on factors contributing to the persistent gender gap in leadership, strategies to close these gaps, and best practices adopted by India and other nations. Panelists emphasized that greater female representation in leadership significantly enhances business growth and supports sustainable development.
