With Women in Construction week underway and on the eve of International Women’s Day (8 March 2023), new research from Redrow reveals an influx of women are looking to enter the male dominated construction industry, and it could be thanks to increased visibility of women in leadership positions within the sector.

The survey of 1,000 young adults aged 16-24 found that half (49%) of women have considered or are open to working in construction. More broadly, three in five (59%) of women want to work for a company that has more female leaders overall.
