On this Independence Day, while addressing the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a ‘change in the mentality towards women.’ He further added that “The more opportunities we give to women the more we will reap the benefits from their contribution. In the coming 25 years, I see a large contribution of the women of the country.”
According to ILO data, India’s female labour force participation rate in 2021 was lower than the world average at 25.1% but Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims at 50% female workforce by 2047 in Amrit Kaal.
