Challenges and opportunities of female leadership in education

Women are still largely under-represented in school leadership. However, data and studies from around the world have shown that schools with greater female representation in their governance register improved school outcomes in terms of knowledge obtained by students, female empowerment, and gender-learning gap reduction.
