The Victorian government will spend $1 million on women’s leadership programs after only one out of 23 CEO appointments to the top 300 companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange last year was a woman.
Minister for Women Gabrielle Williams said systemic barriers continued to stand in the way of career progression for many women and the leadership programs aimed to build more-inclusive workplaces.
