The words are apt, considering that this past year has created immense challenges for women in the workforce as a result of COVID-19. A report by McKinsey & Company found that over the course of the pandemic women have been more likely to have been laid off or furloughed while mothers have had the brunt of parenting responsibilities while working through mass childcare closures.
