Female Leadership: Overcoming Stereotypes About Choosing The Best Leader

Every CEO I have worked for as a direct report or other part of the organization has been male, with the exception of one non-profit. How about you?

According to Dr. Alice Eagly, these figures are not surprising: Only 5.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are female, while S&P 500 boards are now 28% female. What’s behind the difference? Perhaps it stems from our societal stereotypes.
