The ceremony was graced by the Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan and attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Higher Education Minister Sakina Itoo, Vice Chancellor Prof Nilofer Khan, vice chancellors of various universities, heads of departments, senior civil and police officials, faculty members, students and their parents.
Congratulating the graduating students, the Lieutenant Governor extended his best wishes and urged them to define their future with clarity and commitment. “One purpose. One priority. Country first,” he said.
He reminded students that individual growth and national progress are intertwined. “Always remember when you build the country, the country builds you back. Nations do not rise only from resources. They rise from educated people and when the nation rises, so do you,” he said.
Describing the convocation as proof of generational metamorphosis and fulfilled aspirations, Sinha said it reflects the unwavering faith of youth in modern education. He underlined that the knowledge earned at the university is not limited to technical competence but shapes holistic personality growth.
