A key focus of the partnership is empowering women and girls to pursue careers in renewable energy, using the leadership role of the queen bee as an inspiring metaphor. The initiative includes the installation of a Bute Energy-branded beehive housing 20,000 bees, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Onshore wind developer Bute Energy is developing projects across Wales and its collaboration with Bee1 is intended to not only tackling the climate crisis but also leaving a lasting legacy of responsible energy development that benefits both the natural world and local people.
“As a company proudly headquartered in Wales, Bute Energy is delighted to partner with Bee1, a pioneering organisation from Wales that shares our commitment to sustainability and community engagement” said Catryn Newton, Director of Community Investment and Communications at Bute Energy. “This collaboration is a testament to our dedication to driving forward Wales’s transition to a clean, green future, while also supporting bold and innovative Welsh businesses.”
