Sports can help level the playing field for women in their careers, but ironically woman remain underrepresented in leadership in the global sports industry. Women make up only 26.9% of the executive leadership of 31 major international sports federations, and only three are led by women, according to research by the Sport Integrity Global Alliance, which hosted a summit on female leadership in sports at Mastercard’s New York City Tech Hub last week for a second consecutive year.
