A Deloitte report revealed that only 19.7 percent of the board seats are held by women globally, an increase of 2.8 percent since 2018 compared with 1.9 percent over 2016−2018. At this pace, the world could expect to reach near-parity only in 2045. This data clearly reflects that women are strikingly underrepresented in the leadership groups of organizations across the globe. Though indicators of gender equality and participation of women in business have improved over the years, there is still a lot of headway, especially in leadership.
