In a previous piece, I outlined how the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo could manage the spread of COVID-19, even in the face of the resurgence of Ebola. I argued that in order to mitigate the spread of the disease, the Congolese government needs to focus on listening to affected communities and communicating effectively with them. They will also need to collect, and analyze data as well as respect the rights of the people in order to encourage their participation in their efforts.
