A RURAL female leadership initiative has been launched by the National Party with the junior Coalition partner holding its Victorian conference over the weekend.
The Isobel Project, named after the late dairy leader Isobel Arbuthnot, will initially train eight women from across regional Victoria to act as advocates for their communities.
National Party state leader Peter Walsh said Mrs Arbuthnot was a pioneer for the Victorian branch of the party, particularly in her role as state vice president.
