Female managers are not only under-represented in technology companies, they’re also paid significantly less than men. In the Bay Area, they’re paid $172,585 per year, 10% less than men. In Seattle, female managers are paid an average of $158,858 per year, also 10% less than men. That pattern is similar across tech companies in Los Angeles, Boston and New York City, according to an analysis of 6.5 million employee profiles in 483 companies by salary-data firm Paysa.
This is how much women leaders in tech companies earn vs. men (it’s not pretty)
