Global studies tend to list Germany within the top half, if not among the top performers, when it comes to gender equality. But a recent study surveying the world’s 52 largest banks sees Germany at the very bottom when it comes to female leadership. And while German lenders are starting to acknowledge their shortcomings, they still have a long way to go.
