The latest feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios was born out of the rich oral traditions of Oceania. For centuries, the people of Oceania were sailors and navigated the waters of the Pacific. But, for reasons unknown to historical scholars, their voyages stopped around the year 1000 B.C., and they stayed put for almost a millennium.
