Palestinian and Moroccan Female Judges Exchange on Justice, Leadership, and Reform with Support from Sawasya III [EN/AR]

A delegation of Palestinian female judges and prosecutors has successfully concluded a 10-day study tour to Morocco, aimed at strengthening gender-responsive justice and fostering regional cooperation. The Sawasya III Joint Programme supported the visit through UNDP and UN Women in close partnership with Palestinian judicial institutions. The delegation included members of the newly formed Founding Committee of the Palestinian Female Judges and Prosecutors Forum, representing the High Judicial Council, the Family Court, and the Public Prosecution. Hosted by the Moroccan Female Judges Union and led by the Head of the International Female Judges Association Judge Mina Sougrati, the tour offered a platform for peer learning and institutional exchange. Throughout the visit, participants held meetings with relevant counterparts. They discussed key topics related to the forum development, including terms of reference, registration, internal regulations, elections, membership, opportunities and challenges, the judiciary’s supportive role, awareness campaigns, human and financial resources, logistical needs, coordination, and networking.
