Nashville Mayor Megan Barry will be presented with a national award Friday for women in leadership.

Barry will receive the ATHENA National Leadership Award, a distinction previously given to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, astronaut Sally Ride and U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
