Earlier this week, I listened to an episode of the podcast Radiolab about a young girl born to a family of people that subscribe to an idea referred to as “sovereignty.” Living off the grid and removed from government involvement, or interference as they would term it, these are people that believe strongly in isolation from the larger world and the government in particular.
